ShoutOuts can be given using two workflows:
- Send a ShoutOut shortcut on the dashboard activity feed
- From the list of team members under My Teams
Now let's look at the ShoutOut screen and see what each field means.
- Recipient(required): The person you want to give a ShoutOut to.
- Team Channel (optional): A list of teams the above person is on. Select the team you want to acknowledge and celebrate the shoutout with.
- Value (Optional): The company value you think your colleague lived up to.
- Message (required): Your ShoutOut message.
- Private: Only the recipient gets notified via app notifications and email. Otherwise, the ShoutOut gets posted to the selected team's Slack or Microsoft Teams channel along with the company's Activity Feed
How to give a ShoutOut
- Open the ShoutOut window from the dashboard Activity feed
- Fill in the ShoutOut details. Review the field details on this page to learn more.
- Click "ShoutOut" when ready.
- Viola! Your ShoutOut is on its way.
